Traverse City West High School hosted the Tip-off Tournament Friday December 5, 2008. TC West, Central, Grand Haven and Zeeland West all showed. Central Trojans and Grand Haven played the first round. The game started late due to Grand Haven players getting lost on the trip. The game was a close competition all the way till the end. It took two overtimes to reveal the Trojans as winners with a final score of 62-58. This marked the first win for new Head Coach Aric Woughter.
